Wind park development

With the receipt of 58,8MW permit from the Ministry of Economics of Latvia, our intention is to develop a wind farm of up to 17 turbines contributing to a sustainable energy future.

The project

AB Wind AS has acquired the permit and intends to build 58,8MW onshore wind farm.

Wind Power is still considered one of the cleanest energy sources with the highest conversion efficiency.

AB WIND will produce energy in area with the greatest potential for wind energy production implementing the regional sustainable development strategy.

Location Overview

Priekule parish, Southwest Latvia

• A territory located only 40 km from the sea shore
exclusively provides a favorable conditions for producing
energy from wind.

• Based on Dienvidkurzeme’s long term sustainable
development plan from July 28, 2022 (approved by local
municipality), use of area intended for wind farms.

Capacity

• Developer: AB Wind AS reg.Nr. 50203360371. Share capital 1.800.000 euro.

• Assets: 413ha purchased real estate land. Estimated market value around 2 million euro.

• Funding: Equity investment for around 4 million euro by now injected and distributed for the purchase of land, to cover the project’s initial development phase and ensure a security deposit to the public grid operator AST.
